We have a few hot spots that immediately spring to mind for when we dine out in the Highlands. We love the atmosphere found in all the below:
Kylesku Hotel
We just LOVE the fish and seafood available here as it has practically swum in the door, but they also offer venison from the local hill along with numerous other delicious options, the hard part is deciding what to have.

The Old Bridge Inn
A simple but wonderful pub that has become a destination thanks to its great food, extensive selection of local beers and whisky and brilliant line up of local music- it is not to be missed. We visit more often than we perhaps should…diet always starts tomorrow!

Lochinver Larder
Make sure you ‘Pause for a Pie’ at this infamous café – it might not look like much but the pies are exceptionally good. They can actually send them to you if you don’t live on the doorstep.

Glenelg Inn
We have had a few great nights listening to music and chatting with locals in this privately owned Inn. It is fairly simple but the atmosphere electric and the warm welcome from Sheila is worth the visit.

Clachaig Inn
This is another favourite of Patricks, very local and traditional but again great atmosphere for a few drinks with friends- stunning spot!

Ohhh… and we have read about The Malt Room in Inverness, although we have never been….might be worth a try! themaltroom.co.uk
