Elgin has so many supermarkets, as well as a large Next, New Look and other national shops but we are going to share some of our favourite independent shops as we much prefer shopping local than we do going to the larger national stores. So here is our must shop list for Elgin:
Allarburn Dairy
This local farm shop stocks products from 80% local suppliers or small scale producers. They have a really wonderful selection of fresh fruit and meat, but they also supply baked good, chutney, eggs, cured meats- you name it they are likely to sell it. We know that we can always find a nice gift in Allarburn as they have a great variety, so whether you want to pick something up for your granny or your godson they offer it all!

It also has a fantastic range of rugs and fabrics and items for the home. Celia is regularly found admiring the cashmere or meeting friends in the café which is arguably one of the nicest in the area.
