We’re back with a new series of #DesignInspo posts from the past month, which you may have seen if you follow us on Instagram and Facebook. March started with a fantastic new Living Copper collection of bathroom fittings from Swadling Brassware – we think this range would loast month, which you may have seen if you follow us on Insok particularly good in a period home o r a more traditionally-styled bathroom, but this bold finish could also add a classic accent in a contemporary space too.
We then revisited Purlfrost with the new Wild Flower collection of window film that oozes spring vibes, before featuring interior designer Sarah Vanrenen’s Jago wave mirror collection – we’re a little smitten with the bold blue design featured in the photos below. We followed this with the stunning new Earth Collection of glass panels from Red Dog Glass Design, and closed the month with the dynamic Lush Mix patterned tiles from Porcelain Superstore .

Living Copper from Swadling Brassware
Offering a contemporary twist on a classic finish, Swadling Brassware launched a new Living Copper collection alongside their more established finishes. This copper collection adds instant warmth to a bathroom and, as we mentioned in our intro, works beautifully in both contemporary and traditional designs. The finish complements warm pastels and offers a contrast to cool and light marble or stone surfaces, while the hue really pops against dark tiling, as shown in these photos.
One feature of this finish is reflected in the name: Living Copper will change and evolve over time, contributing to its unique appearance. The uncoated copper will oxidize into a finish known as a patina, which protects the metal from corrosion. Each piece of Living Copper will react uniquely to its environment, ageing gracefully and developing its own character and variations in tone over time.

While March brought unexpectedly snowy scenes across many parts of the UK, we stayed with spring vibes only with this new launch from Purlfrost . If you’ve been following for a while, you may recall that we featured Purlfrost’s William Morris-inspired collection of window films last year, and we couldn’t resist this new collection, Wild Flower, which blends wild flowers and foliage to bring a touch of nature indoors.
As Purlfrost’s co-founder Joanna Baumard says: “A move away from more traditional floral motifs, Wild Flower is an uplifting design that represents the beauty of the outdoors. Scalloped edges have been a major trend for a while now, and interior designer Sarah Vanrenen embraced this style early on when introducing scallops to her jute rugs and table designs. Sarah’s latest design, Jago, raises the question: are gently undulating waves going to be the new scallop?
This new mirror features a decorative wavy edge on the inside and outside of the frame, and is the first of a number of mirror designs to be added to Sarah’s collection of home furnishings. Made in England and available in five bright colours alongside dark oak, Jago will look stunning from bathrooms to hallways and bedrooms. The mirror can also be bespoke coloured to match an interior scheme.
As Sarah says: “We designed this oval mirror with the pretty wave frame as we felt it was a little more sophisticated than scallops and would fit in both traditional and modern interiors. It adds character and weight to a bathroom or could be perfect as a pair either side of a fireplace above a console. The oval shape allows space to fit wall lights either side too; it’s a very decorative addition to any room.”
The Jago wave mirror is also available as a round mirror, and both shapes are made to order with the option of using antiqued glass.

Biophilic design has been a huge trend over the last few years as more and more of us look for ways to brings the outdoors in when considering our interiors. The last time we shared a new tiling collection here it was all about subtle texture with the Fluted tile collection from Porcelain Superstore, which you may have seen in our previous #DesignInspo blog post (https://www.patonandco.com/interior-design-inspiration/), and we’re heading back to Porcelain Superstore this month but with some dynamic patterns instead.
Each tile in the Lush Mix collection is imprinted with colourful leaves or palm fronds, and with a palette that ranges from green to blue and earthy hues. While bold, this colour mix feels natural and organic, and works beautifully against wooden tones, as shown here. There are forty different tiles in this collection, and they are supplied randomly mixed, creating a look that’s completely unique to your space.
Made from porcelain, these tiles are sturdy enough to be used on floors as well as walls, so you can use them from kitchen splashbacks and bathroom designs to hallways and fireplaces.
