Property Sales Negotiator- Scottish Borders

Paton & Co are a new and ambitious estate agency focusing on delivering exceptional property sales services for the mid to high end market across Scotland and Northumberland.  As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Agent to join our team covering Central Scottish Borders. This role offers a competitive salary, and generous bonus. You will be backed by a strong team and will work mainly out of the office in Berwick-upon-Tweed.  The right person will be passionate about property, customer service and is driven by results.

Skills Required:

  • Proven Estate Agency Experience: Experience in property sales, with a strong understanding of the sales process, including valuations, marketing, and closing deals.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, buyers, and sellers, both in person and over the phone/email.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate deals effectively, ensuring successful outcomes for clients while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Passion for providing outstanding customer service and building strong client relationships.
  • Sales and Target-Driven: Motivation to meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on results-driven performance.
  • Self-Motivation and Organisation: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Local Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the local property market in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland, with the ability to provide accurate valuations and advice.
  • Networking and Lead Generation: Skilled in networking to build relationships, generate leads, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, online property platforms, and digital marketing techniques.
  • Full Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle: Required for property viewings, client meetings, and travel within the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Entire Sales Process: Handle property sales from initial inquiries through to successful closing, ensuring a smooth transaction.
  • Property Valuations: Conduct accurate property valuations, based on local market knowledge and emerging trends.
  • Marketing Listings: Develop and implement strategies for marketing properties to attract potential buyers.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their property needs and providing tailored advice.
  • Negotiating Deals: Handle negotiations between buyers and sellers to secure the best possible deals.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively seek out new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
  • Attending Property Viewings and Meetings: Travel to and conduct property viewings, as well as meet clients for consultations and negotiations.
  • Staying Updated on Market Trends: Monitor regional and national property markets, keeping abreast of trends and competitor activities.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records, track progress on deals, and keep clients informed throughout the sales process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure all client needs are met, and business objectives are achieved.
